Saldivar Bits and Bytes
Week of November 18-22
A Message from Mr. Jaramillo
CHANGE STARTS WITH ME!!!
2019-2020 WIGS
1. Close the achievement gaps in RLA/SLA for all grade levels
2. Increase Teacher/Parent involvement and communication for all campus activities
By practicing the following big rocks:
- Strong Look forward and Look Back PLCs
- Scholar authentic writing through thinking maps
- Learning Stations driven by scholar needs
- Effective and active Leader in Me action teams (Physical Environment, Student Learning, Family Learning, Professional Learning, Leadership Events, Shared Leadership)
- Leadership binder updated at least weekly, scholars should want to share leadership binders with visitors to discus their progress and goals. Let's coach our scholars up!!
Scholar Journaling Tweaks and Improvement
- Are you providing scholars with comments and feedback for work
- Are scholars numbering their pages
- Do scholars have a working table of contents
- Scholar writing instead of cutting and pasting into journals
- Let's make student authentic journaling a daily habit
Climate Survey
Its that time again!!!
A reminder that neutral is considered a negative response as we ask ourselves: what do we want our key stakeholders to know and believe about our Saldivar learning community? Thank you for your participation!!
As a reminder, please submit your evidence of completion to Ms. Rojas via email. Everyone who completes by Tuesday, earns a jeans pass for the rest of the semester!!! You are appreciated!
The SALDIVAR STAFF Attendance Challenge!!!!
2 IPADs will be awarded to 2 professors in a drawing for best attendance and promptness(tardies) from today until the last day of the semester!!!
The top 20 staff members will be put into a drawing.
