*Attention Lee High School Juniors & other interested students! Please join us for the upcoming ACT Bootcamp Sessions to prepare for the ACT in April! See the flyer below for more details!
*Students in the 11th grade will be taking the ACT Plus Writing on Tuesday, April 11. All 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will engage in e-learning on this day. All 11th grade students will be taking the ACT Plus Writing at school campuses. This schedule adjustment will help accommodate 11th graders who will be taking part in testing. All 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will not report to campuses and instruction will occur virtually. This e-learning day will only impact high schools. All other grade levels will proceed with normal operations and not be affected by this schedule adjustment.
*Attention LHS Students! If you have not been formally inducted into the Beta Club or National Honor Society, please plan to attend the induction ceremony on April 6 at 5pm. (Please wear business casual clothes). The ceremony for both will not last longer than 1 hour. Seniors, please bring money to purchase the BETA or NHS cords that you may wear at graduation. (Cords are $10 each and will be distributed the week of graduation.) If you are unsure if you are a member of either group, please check your Schoology groups or see Mrs. Fields in the library.
*Seniors, your $100 mandatory graduation fee is due. This fee covers your cap, gown, stole, diploma, diploma cover and tassel. You get to keep all items. You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or see Mrs. Fields or Ms. Swopes to pay in person. Cash, check or money order is accepted. NO payments via paypal or cashapp. All other school fees must be paid before May. If you need to know what you owe, see Ms. Swopes. Allowable honor society cords for graduation can be ordered with Mrs. Fields in the library. They are $10 each.
*Attention Seniors! Academic & Arts Signing Day is coming up on May 1st. Seniors who have received any scholarship that can be applied to the college of their choice are invited to participate. See Mrs. Fields for more information. Senior Awards Day is Sunday, May 7 @ 3 pm. Mark your calendar now for this mandatory event. Dress Code - for Awards Day & Graduation - white dress or dark slacks with white dress shirt, no sneakers, or flip flops.
*Attention all students! This week is PBIS Taki Tuesday! If you have 4 or more stamps on your current LEEWAY card, stop by the library on Tuesday during zero hour to get a free bag of generic Taki's. Please continue to exhibit those positive behaviors and encourage your teachers to give you positive write-ups. We are planning a big PBIS celebration for the end of the year.
*Lee Sweatshirts sold by the PTA are here! If you ordered a sweatshirt, please see Mrs. Fields in the library to pay and pick up.
*Yearbooks are on sale now! The current price is $40 for standard and a $45 for engraved. You can pay online at MySchoolFees or in person to Ms. King during zero period ONLY in room 124.
*CHECK STUDENT FEES ONLINE! LHS student fees can be viewed and paid online anytime by visiting https://secure3.myschoolfees.com select AL-HUNTSVILLE CITY-LEE HIGH, and register as a New User. You will need your student’s PowerSchool ID Number. You may also pay by cash or check at the school. Remember to check fees periodically for any changes that may occur. Shout-Outs
- Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Amoria Cross-Mills comes to us from the Academy of Academics & Arts Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a member of the Dance Magnet and is in our Spring Musical "The Wiz." Outside of school, she participates in hip-hop/contemporary competition dance. After graduating from Lee, she wants to go to college to pursue a career she is currently undecided on. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is Mrs. Hunkapillar because she makes class fun. Jaylon Sherrell comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Next year, he wants to participate in band and basketball. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, studying astronomy, and enjoys reading and writing books. After graduating from high school, he wants to go to college to study astronomy and astrophysics. His favorite teacher here at Lee is Ms. Thompson because she understands people and makes learning fun. Congratulations to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!

- Shout-out to the Lee High School Band, Drumline, and Auxiliary for performing at MLK Elementary, the North Huntsville Easter Egg Hunt, the Taste of Soul Family Festival at the Orion Amphitheater, the Kings & Queens Sneaker Ball, and St. John AME Church this week/weekend! Thanks for bringing joy everywhere you all went!
- Shout-out to the Lee High Esports Team for taking down Hazel Green in Smash Bros 2-0 this week.
Shout-out to the the Huntsville City Schools Culinary Academy Pro Start Team! They competed at a state competition in Orange Beach on February 27, 2023 and placed third. There was less than .235 points between 1st and 3rd place. These students won three college scholarships for placing third plus multiple job offers.
