LCAP Survey
The LCAP is required to identify annual goals, specific actions, and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators, including student academic achievement, school climate, student access to a broad curriculum, and parent engagement.
El Rancho considers you a valuable partner in the development of our 2023-2024 LCAP. Your input is essential to the success of our students.
All survey responses will be reviewed and considered; your feedback will be utilized as we plan and develop our 2023-2024 LCAP. The survey will close on February 28th.

- When: Tuesday, March 14th - all PE classes will visit during their class time for the students to sample the food donations

- Those who donate will be excused from the Coyote Mile

New Computer Software
El Rancho is excited to share that we have purchased the software GoGuardian! Teachers have started using this program and are very excited! GoGuardian eliminates digital distractions and provides teachers with a real-time view of student work and the ability to manage digital resources by class or individual. Our goal is to keep students focused, safe, and accountable.
Coyote Den
We opened the Coyote Den this week! This unique space on campus allows students who are upset or otherwise dysregulated an opportunity to reset. The Coyote Den can help students to utilize coping strategies, build resilience, and access mental health resources that will allow them the clarity of mind that is required to support deeper learning, increase mental health access, and promote school attendance.
The Coyote Den is open the first two days of the week during nutrition and lunch. Students can access the Coyote Den by asking their teacher to add them to the list.
Parents are welcome to stop by during Open House to check it out!

Reminders
We need everyone to take a few minutes to review page 9 of their Binder Reminder. El Rancho’s Uniform Policy states that Crocs and hooded sweatshirts are not allowed. Wearing a long sleeve and/or hoodie under your uniform is not allowed. Students caught violating either of these rules will be issued lunch detention. Please do your part and follow the school uniform policy. Thank you, Coyotes!
Also, students should not order food to be delivered, or have food delivered from others, from delivery services like Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc... Students who have food delivered have also used their phones during school hours, which is not allowed, and will be given a consequence.

Tutorial Menu for March 1st and 2nd
Students who are stamped by their teacher must attend that tutorial session. If stamped by multiple teachers, the subject that has priority that day takes precedence.
Students who have C grades or better, are not stamped by a teacher, and do not have any detention stamps, can go to PE or the lunch benches to complete homework. It is the student's responsibility to check their grades prior to Tutorial.
Students have a 5-minute passing period to get to their tutorial room. Once students arrive at their Tutorial destination, they stay there for the entire 30 minutes. Please use the menu below to make a plan for this week!
