Our Vision
The Vision of RES is to provide a welcoming, happy, respectful, and safe learning environment that supports all learners and encourages students to be lifelong learners.
RES Families,
Our first full school Christmas Program went extremely well on Wednesday evening! The students looked and sounded fantastic! We could not be more proud of all the students, teachers, staff, and families for helping make this night a huge success. We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Luke Milner for his hard work with all the classes. We also want to give a shout out to all the teachers and staff of RES and RCHS for their help in organizing and decorating for this special event. Everyone came together to make the program a huge success!
We will not have classroom gift exchanges this year, but instead each class or grade level is collecting donations for area businesses and organizations. Be sure to check with your child’s teacher to see how you can donate to these essential organizations.
In true Christmas fashion, December continues to be a busy month at RES. With the Christmas Program behind us, we are looking forward to Thursday, Dec. 14th. We will celebrate a Family Night with the PTG and enjoy some cookies, hot cocoa, and more from 5:00-7:00pm. Please see the flyer below for more details. We look forward to seeing you then.
During the week of Dec. 18-22 students and staff are invited to participate in our Christmas Spirit Week. Please see the flyer below to plan the special attire and/or accessories your child can wear to help celebrate the final week before Christmas Break.
Have a relaxing weekend

LION WRESTLING 2024
1. You are a STUDENT first, then an athlete. Make sure and keep your grades up so you can participate.
2. You must have a physical on file with the school in order to participate.
3. You must attend practice and be an active participant in practice to compete in meets. If you need to miss practice for any reason please inform one of the coaches or the
school.
4. The 1st unexcused absence will result in having to do extra work in practice. The 2 nd will result in having to sit out a competition. The 3rd can result in being released from the team.
5. Practice will be held in the High School Wrestling Room located in the gym addition.
6. Practice will run from 5:15 PM– 6:30 PM. DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 5:00 PM. You cannot stay after school unless you are participating in another activity (weights, track, FFA, study tables, etc.). Practice times will be adjusted after the high school season is over.
7. Wrestlers are expected to be on their BEST behavior while in the gym addition. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please be a team player and think of others.
8. We can use the locker room to change but cannot leave anything in the locker room during practice. Do not wear your wrestling shoes outside.
9. Wrestling is a physical sport. Bumps and bruises can and will occur. If your athlete has an injury please get it looked at. If they see a Dr. and has restrictions for practice the coaches will need a copy of the note from the Dr.
10. Bring your own water bottle to practice. We will not supply water bottles. The bottle filler in the gym addition is working so bottles can be refilled.
11. The schedule could change at any time with the COVID situation. We will do our best to inform every one of any changes that occur as soon as we are informed of them.
12. If you have any questions please contact me Coach Lawler 765-561-1326
Let’s have a Great season!!!!!
Tell Me Something Good
Blaze Clark
Blaze works harder than anyone in his class at setting examples, following directions, and staying on task. He is also very kind and shows compassion for friends in his class. For example, at recess last week, a friend hurt their foot and needed to go to the nurse. The student wasn’t sure exactly how to get to the nurse, so his teacher sent Blaze with the student to the nurse, and Blaze offered support by wrapping his friend’s arm around his shoulder, so Blaze took some of the weight off. He has a heart of gold and strives to do the right thing.
Miss Natalie Munn
Miss Munn is a special education teacher who goes above and beyond every day. You can count on her to adjust schedules, encourage students and staff, and step in to provide support whenever and wherever needed, all while meeting the needs of each of her students. Miss Munn’s positive attitude and smile is felt and appreciated by everyone at RES. We are extremely blessed to have Miss Natalie Munn at RES!

CAR RIDER DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES 2023-2024
DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES
Drop Off:
No Students are to be dropped off before 7:45. This is due to safety concerns for students and staff.
Cars will come NORTH on Sexton from 16th Street..
Turn RIGHT into the RES Parking Lot.
There will be 5 lanes for drop off and they will be marked. We ask all preschool and Kindergarten families to use lane 1, which is by the sidewalk. 1st-6th grade students can use either Lane 2, 3, 4 or 5. Once you are in your lane proceed forward until stopped. A staff member will be at the end of the lanes to stop cars. Once all 5 lanes are stopped students may be let out on the passenger side. DO NOT LET STUDENTS EXIT CAR UNTIL DIRECTED BY STAFF. This will be done with handheld signs.
Once students are on the sidewalk the front 5 cars will be released by the staff member and then the next 5 cars will pull up to release students.
Once cars are released they will follow in a single file line to the back lane to exit the parking lot.
At Sexton Street all cars will turn right to exit. DO NOT TURN LEFT. Cars will then proceed to Foster Heights.
If you arrive after 8:10 am and there are no staff members present, do not drop your child off. Bring them to the front of the building and drop them off at the Main Entrance.
