RAFFERTY'S RECORDS

As I’ve walked around campus lately, it’s been a pleasure to see our students busy learning and having fun. The sounds of music filled the air as our bands and orchestras diligently prepared for their winter concerts. The energy and excitement were off the charts during our STEM challenge when students played arcade games created by their peers during lunch.
Watching students on the field during PE reminded me how movement and being outdoors are key to our mental health. I encourage you to consider making a donation of any amount to the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF) to help fund our PE teachers, music teachers, art lessons, librarian, STEM projects, and mental health services this school year. During December, LAEF has a Challenge Match, so your gift will get doubled by a group of generous LASD families. Your support is vital.
Linden Tree tonight!
Please join us tonight for our Annual Santa Rita Linden Tree Evening with guest readers! Many teachers will be reading tonight at Linden Tree between 6-8 pm. Proceeds will benefit Santa Rita and the Library. Hope to see you there!
Remember, we DO have school next week. Our December Break is Dec 23-Jan 7. Our first day back to school is January 8th.

Disney’s Aladdin Jr. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.
The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers!
Registration is NOW OPEN for 3rd - 6th graders up to the first 40 students who register. Every child who registers will get a part! The registration/participation fee is $220 and is due at the time of registration. You can submit checks to the Santa Rita office (payable to “Santa Rita PTA”) or pay via Paypal (https://paypal.me/SANTARITAPTA).

Take advantage of our $50,000 Challenge Match!
Every dollar you donate to LAEF to support our schools will get DOUBLED, up to $50,000 through Dec 31, 2023.
If your company has a matching gift program, you can even Triple Your Impact by donating this month.
Let's come together and fully fund teachers for music, art, PE, and computer science; the librarian, STEM, and mental health support for our students.
Thank you to those who have already given this school year!
