Dear Parents and Carers,

We have reached the end of our first half term of this academic year already! What a term it has been. We have welcomed our youngest children into school, competed in various sporting events and received many visitors in school to speak with the children about a multitude of things. Upon our return, we will begin to share communication about forthcoming Christmas events and share our Autumn 2 calendar.

This Week This Week

Open Day Event

On Wednesday 25th October, we held an Open Event in school for potential new starters in the academic year 2024-25. We were over the moon with the amount of people who came to see us on the recommendation of our current parents. Thank you so much for supporting us. It was lovely to hear the warm feedback.

Halloween

On Monday, we raised £170 towards school funds from the Halloween bun sale. Thank you to everyone who sent buns in and who bought buns. All funds will go towards new lighting and microphones for our new stage.

On Tuesday, the children had great fun at the Halloween discos. The costumes this year were amazing! Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers who came along to decorate the hall and help with snack time. Your support for school is very much appreciated.

Awards

Today, in our rewards assembly, children received prizes for a multitude of things they have done this term. Take a look at how many children there are doing fabulous things at Larks Hill!

Black History Month

October is Black History Month. All month the children have been learning all about why we have Black History Month and all about different people and their achievements. All classes presented their learning in our assembly today. Here are a few photos from pupils in Year 1, 2 and 3.

Please note that today I wrote to all parents regarding safe parking outside school. For safety and congestion reasons, parents and carers are politely requested to not park on the zigzags during drop off and pick up times. I also request that we respect the local residents who live near to school and do not obstruct driveways at anytime. Thank you.
