SAVE THE DATE - Christmas Program: We will host a Christmas program on Thursday, December 7 at 7PM. Students in grades PK-5 will participate. Any 6th grade students enrolled in band or choir will participate in their respective programs at Western Boone Jr/Sr High School. More information will be shared as we approach this date, but please mark your calendars to save the date for this special event!
A Note about Transportation: We do not have the capacity to allow extra riders on a bus route. If your child has plans with a friend on a Friday, please make arrangements for them to be picked up from school or meet up later in the evening. We cannot allow friends to catch rides with friends for slumber parties or other events. Thanks for your understanding.
Lost & Found: This time of year, we start quite a collection of lost clothing items. If you child is missing something, encourage them to check the lost & found in the gym. A couple times per year, we donate the unclaimed items to a community organization. Please consider labeling tags with your child's name and checking our collection from time to time to see if you recognize something from your home!

Please be prepared to provide the following information about your child(ren): age, pant size, shirt size, favorite color, and special interest or favorite toy. All information will be kept confidential, and you will be notified when items are available for pick up at the school. Thank you.
Winter Volleyball
Would your daughter like to be a part of the outstanding volleyball program? The success of the varsity team was started at a young age by each player developing the correct fundamentals and having many opportunities to play in matches. The teams will participate in multiple tournaments around the area and one at Webo. The teams
will practice two days a week. This league is a great opportunity for a player to become a better volleyball player for the upcoming season and for the years of volleyball ahead. More information about the league, costs, and practices are listed below.
Division Information:
Division 1-Girls in grades 5-6. These teams will be playing in 5 tournaments with the
cost being from $200-$250. The cost will be finalized once the tournament schedule has
been set before the start of the season.
Division 2-Girls in grades 3-4. These teams will be playing in 4 tournaments with the
cost being $150-$200. The cost will be finalized once the tournament schedule has been
set before the start of the season. 2nd graders can be allowed to play in division 2 if their
skills are comparable to the rest of the girls in Division 2. Please email Coach Bragg if you
would like your 2 nd grade daughter to be considered for division 2.
Division 3-Girls in grades Pre K-2. The players will only be practicing, but not playing on
the league dates because there is not an age division that young for local tournaments.
We will be having a scrimmage a couple days in each session where parents can come
watch their daughter play against each other. Those scrimmage dates will be sent out a
couple weeks before the first practice. There will be 2 sessions for this division and
players can sign up for both sessions or one of them. Each session will be $40 for the 3
weeks. Session one will run January 13-February 6, and Session 2 will be February 8-
March 2.
Questions: If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to email Coach Laura Bragg at
Practices: The teams will practice at Webo two times a week depending on gym space
availability. We will practice most Saturday mornings because gym space is limited on
weeknights. Practice schedule will be emailed out to parents at the end of December or beginning of January.
Items included in the Cost: Payment for the tournaments, jersey, and then payment for the
coaches’ time for practices and games.
Coaches: Laura Bragg, Katie Whitaker, Jordan Kiger, Lexie McCloskey, Katelyn Coffman, Talyn
Guinn and current varsity volleyball players will be coaching the teams. The varsity volleyball
players have experience coaching with the summer youth camps and winter teams last year.
Payments: The payments can be made on a payment plan of 2 payments at the beginning and
middle of the league for Division 1 and 2. There will be a discount for families with multiple girls playing in the league. You may pay by check made out to Webo Youth Volleyball or pay by cash. Families can earn money off their payments if parents help with the Webo Tournament hosted on March 3.
Team Selection: Coaches will be forming teams based on the player’s ability and potential for
grades 3-6. There could be teams with players from multiple grades on one team. If we have
more players trying out then spots available on a team, then players will be selected based on
ability. The first 3 practices will be for the coaches to evaluate the skills of each player. An email will be sent out after the first 3 practices letting each parent know if their daughter made a team and who their coach will be. If your daughter doesn’t make a team, then they can choose to still practice with a team and be an alternate to the tournaments if a player can’t attend. Payment will be due the first day of official practice after you get the email that your daughter made a team.
Registration: Please register your daughter by December 18. You can find the link our
Facebook page, Western Boone Travel Volleyball. If you are having trouble registering,
please email Coach Bragg and the link will be emailed to you. Link to sign up:
