Welcome BOES New Teachers!

We are so excited to welcome four new general education teachers to our Boulder Oaks Families!

I have taught over thirty-five years with students from the age of six weeks through graduate level. I spent many years working in the field of child development which strongly influenced my Constructivist teaching philosophy. I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education, an M.S. in Curriculum Development and Instruction, and a Clear Administrative Credential. I am a National Board Certified Teacher which places me in the top 4% of all teachers nationwide.

I have served my district in many ways over the past 30 years; Character Education-Service Learning Coordinator, Science Curriculum Specialist, member of the math curriculum committee, BTSA Director and support provider, Mentor Teacher, Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum Specialist, Summer School Coordinator, K-8 teacher, and school administrator.

I have been married for 40 years and have two grown sons. Both of my sons are married and live in the San Diego area. I have four wonderful grandchildren Colton, Gracie, Harper, and Hayden. They are a blessing and a joy! I also have a cat named Precious.

I look forward to working the children and families at Boulder Oaks Elementary School.

My name is Maddie Hauseur and I am thrilled to be a part of the Boulder Oaks Elementary team! I completed my undergrad at Chico State University, and then received my credential from SDSU. After completing my credential program, I've had experience teaching middle school, 4th grade, and most recently - reading intervention at Rancho San Diego Elementary in El Cajon. I am a San Diego native, and grew up in the La Mesa area. In my free time I enjoy DIY projects, hiking, and relaxing with a good book! A fun fact about me: I love indoor plants and I have around 20 different types throughout my house!

Hello!! I’m Iris Grace and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Boulder Oaks this year! I am originally from Massachusetts, but California has been my home for 10 years and I’ve been in San Diego for the past 3 years. I recently completed my Masters of Education at UCSD with an Elementary Mathematics Emphasis Certification. As a teacher, I am passionate about building partnerships with the students and families I work with and creating a classroom environment that is welcoming to all!! I like to use hands-on exploration, learning games, and class discussions in my teaching in order to make lessons engaging and accessible. In my free time I like to sew, knit, bake bread, and spend time with my boyfriend and our two kitties!

Hello BOES Eagles! My name is Mrs. Calvert and I may be a familiar face to some as I served as a Title 1 Aide at Boulder Oaks for the second half of the 2019-2020 school year. I am beyond excited share with you all that I will be returning this school year as a 3rd grade teacher! I recently graduated in December 2019 from Hawai’i Pacific University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, where I also received my teaching credentials. My husband and I were fortunate enough to live on the island of O’ahu for the last 3 1/2 years, where he was stationed in the Marine Corps. It was an amazing experience that I cherish everyday! We moved back to our hometown of San Diego in December with our island puppy named Diesel. Growing up, I lived in Alpine and I played club soccer for fourteen years. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, hanging out with my family, and walking my dog. I am looking forward to a school year full of wonderful memories with my fellow Eagles!
