Curriculum Corner
Hello Oak Grove Community,
You may or may not have heard that Illinois had ended their contract with Pearson (the company that produces the PARCC test) last year and was bidding out a new company for our Illinois assessment system. After a lengthy bidding process, the contact went to a different company and was anticipated to be implemented for the 2018-2019 school year. The PARCC group then challenged the bid and that lawsuit has not yet been settled. Therefore, we anticipate that the PARCC test under a new name IAR “Illinois Assessment of Readiness”, will take place this spring. Anticipate the specific testing window to be a similar window as previously used (mid-April). As soon as we know the official window, it will be shared in the OG news along with our other spring assessments.
