GRADE LEVEL/DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Thank you for attending parent conferences. If you did not attend, report cards will be sent home for review and signing. Please try to contact your child’s teacher.
- Working together as a team will help your child to be successful.
- Upcoming field trip to Stokes Family Farm on the 21st. Money is due by the 15th.
- Sight word rings for this six weeks will be coming home Monday. Practice each night.
First Grade:
- New sight words for the 2nd six weeks: away, as, dad, by, each, put, some, how, too, when, your, made, am, going, good, has, help, home, house, there.
- Please send an extra mask, a snack, and a water bottle each day.
- Read take home books each night. Repeated readings of the same book increase fluency and comprehension.
Second Grade:
- Please make sure students are reading their AR book each night and completing the AR log.
- Students should bring an extra mask and water bottle each day.
Resource:
The Veterans Day Program will be a “virtual "presentation because of COVID concerns. The “Veterans, Thank You from WPS” slideshow will be released prior to Veterans Day and shared with local media, Arts Council, PTA, students, and community.
“Tiger Troupe” practice days are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 7:30 - 8:00 for second graders who returned permission forms.
Exceptional Children:
- Next week the students will learn about the Letter Land character Sammy Snake. The students will use the Letter Land story and songs to learn all about the letter Ss.
- The students will learn about the number six and the color purple.
- In science students will complete a leaf investigation book and learn about why leaves change color.

Parents : Mon-Fri 7:30-8:00am, 3:00-4:30pm
Students: all day
Also, if we run out of what you wanted, by Thursday there will be another shipment to restock the shelves, so if we run out of the books you want...you can come again for this refill of the book fair!! Thank you for your support of this event that helps excite kids about reading, and raise money for our school!

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support of Williamston Primary School. We had an awesome turnout for our Parent Teacher conferences and want to continue to promote open communication lines between WPS and our parents. Also we would like to thank you for supporting our School's Candy Man Fundraiser. Due to your support we were able to exceed our overall school goal and for that we say thank. Again from the Administration and Staff here at Williamston Primary School we thank you for all you do to make WPS great.
