MMS WEEKLY UPDATE
March 5, 2022
A message sent out from our Superintendent, Dr. James Everett:
Dear families,
Today Governor Jay Inslee announced the indoor mask requirement will end March 11 at 11:59 p.m.
Until March 12, masks will continue to be required for all students, staff and visitors in all Meridian School District buildings and on buses.
Once the statewide requirement is lifted, students and staff may continue to choose to wear a mask while in school and we will support and respect their choice to do so.
The Washington State Department of Health is working to update their guidance. Once that is available, we will post it on our COVID-19 info webpage and share important changes with staff, families and students.
Thank you for your continued flexibility and patience.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TESTING SITE
Our health services team is offering rapid antigen COVID-19 testing to Meridian students and staff and their immediate family members (those living in the same home). The testing will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Meridian Middle School, 861 Ten Mile Rd, Lynden, WA.
Staff and students can drive to MMS and park in a parking spot. Then please walk up to the outdoor concession stand window on the front of the building. Individuals will be called with results to avoid congestion at the window.
Please do not line up before 3 p.m. and remember to wear your mask and keep physical distance when waiting in line for testing. Individuals under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the window for consent.
Students and staff participating in Test to Stay will be tested during the school day. Consent for participation in Test to Stay must be obtained prior to your child returning to school for their modified quarantine.
