High AIMS Social Studies Collab

Loveland Middle School Principal David Knapp emailed all middle school principals on February 1. This is a follow-up reminder of this professional learning opportunity.

Loveland Middle School is hosting an upcoming collaboration and professional development opportunity for middle school Social Studies teachers held at Loveland Middle School on Friday, February 16, from 8:00-2:00. This session will focus on connections and collaboration for social studies teachers from across the area. It will be facilitated by social studies teacher leaders Greg Croskey (Loveland Middle School) and Brian Ruck (Milford Junior High School). Coffee and donuts will be available starting at 7:30, with an hour available for lunch for teachers to venture out and have a moment to eat a relaxed lunch (which we know is such a valuable thing!).

David Knapp has previously hosted professional learning opportunities. They have been very successful. Just like other teacher collaboration sessions, topics for the day will be fueled by the interests of the teachers participating in the event. It is still not too late for you to add and register. Registration for the event can be found here, which also provides a survey asking for feedback and ideas on topics to focus on. This information will build an agenda for what we hope will be a great day of learning and networking for all participants.

Please feel free to send this registration on to your teachers if you plan on opening this opportunity up to your staff. Registration will end on Fri, 2/9. Principal Knapp says, "We've been able to offer several of these "teacher-driven" PDs over the past few years, and the feedback from those teachers participating has been VERY positive. We're hoping to keep the good stuff going for our awesome teachers and to bring in some new people to the party :)."

Parking: Participants may park in the front of the school, with overflow parking available at the back of the building. All visitors must enter through Door 1 (labeled on the map below). Please DO NOT park in the spots marked with the X, as that space is used for our recess area during lunch.
