Davis Elementary Principal's Newsletter
September 25, 2023
Dear Davis Families,
This week begins with parent/teacher conference day and we are excited to welcome many parents/guardians to campus for these meetings! We hope to have a great turnout tomorrow evening for the WatchD.O.G.S. kick-off meeting, too.
We had a wonderful PTA meeting last week, with a great turnout and so much information shared about the different plans PTA has for supporting Davis and community building events this year. Huge thanks to Susanna Anderson, PTA President, for bringing everyone together and providing such great leadership to our PTA. Thanks also to the many volunteers who are coordinating events and improvement initiatives for our school. Look for more information soon on the upcoming Dolphin BOO Fest and on design plans and fundraising for 'The Meadow' outdoor improvement project.
Thank you for being a part of Davis!
Warm regards,
Jenny Daniels Principal, Davis Elementary

Daily cafeteria lunch options include choice of a meat or vegetarian entree, milk, and side dish choices that include fruits and vegetables. For more information about cafeteria meals, visit the AISD Meal Programs page.
Menus & Meal Accounts
Breakfast and lunch menus may be accessed at schoolcafe.com/austinisd. Parents may set up a lunch account on this site for their child for automatic payments. Free and reduced price breakfast and lunch is available to students who qualify. Visit the AISD Applications, Payments, and Meal Prices page for information on how to apply for free/reduced price meals.
Monitors
Monitors supervise students eating lunch and are available to assist students as well as maintain courteous student behavior.
Parents/Guardians Eating Lunch with Students
Parents are always welcome to join their child for lunch. We encourage parents to take their child outside to one of the picnic tables for lunch. We also have a visitor table set up in the lobby for this purpose. When visiting for lunch, parents must check in and get a visitor badge before proceeding to the cafeteria. Please note that parents may only take their own child (no friends) to a different table for lunch.
