Halloween Parade
Our annual Halloween parade will take place on Wednesday, October 31st. All students and children at Hemlock Elementary and K.C. Ling Elementary will be walking in the parade, which will begin at 1:45 p.m. Parents wishing to watch their child walk in the parade are being asked to line up along the paved bus loop at K.C. Ling Elementary. In the event of inclement weather, accommodations will be made to host a modified parade in the gymnasium at the same time. Any child or student that wishes to dress up for the parade should bring their school-appropriate costume to school in a bag. For safety purposes, all weapon-like accessories should remain at home. At the conclusion of the parade, all students will return to their classrooms with their teachers to gather their belongings before following the normal dismissal routine. If you plan to take your child home early, please sign them out in the office before leaving.
Candy Bingo
Join us for Candy Bingo, Halloween Edition, on Friday, October 26th at K.C. Ling Elementary. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and Bingo begins at 6:15 p.m. Admission into this event is 1 king-sized candy bar per player. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Feel free to wear your costumes for this fun event!
Parent/Teacher Conferences & Bale Sale
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 8th. Teachers will be sending home conference reminders soon if they haven't already done so. During conferences, the book fair will be open for families to shop. PTO will also be hosting a bake sale at both Hemlock Elementary & K.C. Ling. If you would like to donate baked goods, please drop them off in one of the offices prior to the start of conferences.
