May Crowning this past Monday was another gentle reminder from God that He is the reason for our school. The moments that you truly feel the presence of the holy spirit in the school building are the ones that fill our hearts with joy. It confirms we are here to do God's will each and every day. What a blessing to work in a Catholic school where we get to help form the hearts of God's children. May is a busy month and it is easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of it all, this special day always seems to help us refocus on our mission.
Our mission at Holy Cross is to work together as a school, family, and parish that is dedicated to the academic and spiritual development of the children so that they can bring the glory of the cross to the world. With the eighth graders only having one more week with us, it is a time of reflection on how we have prepared these young adults for the future. I can say I am so proud of the work the church, school, and their families have dedicated to these formative years. They are faith-filled young people ready to go change the world. We are looking forward to spending our last week together as a school family and celebrating all their accomplishments on Friday at their Graduation Mass and ceremony. Just like in Proverbs 3:6 it states "In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths". Our hope is that they will always turn to Him for guidance in al that they do.
