Starting Wednesday, August 18, we will be providing voluntary COVID testing for all WVUSD students and staff. The drive-through clinics will occur at Walnut High (Mondays) and Diamond Bar High (Wednesdays). Please refer to the flyer below and utilize the registration link if you would like to COVID test.

*No appointments are needed, but preregistration is requested.

Underclassmen photos for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students are Friday, August 20.

• Forms will be distributed during 4th period classes to all underclassmen.
• Students will take pictures during PE, Electives or Performing Arts Classes.
• Students may also go before school, brunch or lunch to take photos.
• Pictures will be taken in the gym.
• Enter from the amphitheater! Bring your student ID.

We want all students in the yearbook and everyone needs to take a photo this Friday in order to to be included!

Last week, our GLC’s held grade-level assemblies each period to reconnect with students, review our school rules, and help all students transition back to school. Special thanks to Class of 2022, Mr. Desmond & Mrs. Brummett, Class of 2023, Mr. Gonzales & Mrs. Burns, Class of 2024, Mr. Natividad & Mrs. Auten-Zimmerman, & Class of 2025, Mr. Patterson & Mrs. Duenas!

On Friday night, August 13, we finished off our first week of school with Rodeo Round-up! This was a special night of recognition for our fall sports teams, special performances from our Performing Arts groups and Pep Team, and great food provided by our Mag 7 Parent groups!

Special thanks to USB Rallies Commissioners, Eunice Lee & Haley Fetchik, & Activities Director Mrs. Van Horn for supporting our Head Coaches, Performing Arts Directors, and Mag 7 Parent groups in this annual tradition and celebration for our entire community!

• Attention United Student Body (Class of 2022) … Applications are now available in the USB office for the 2022 United Student Body. If you are interested in running for Executive Board or applying to be a Commissioner, stop by to get the paperwork. If you have questions see Mrs. Van Horn!

• Class of 2022- Hey Seniors, are you interested in being an officer for your class? There is an opportunity to apply for the Historian position. If you are interested in running for this position get your application from the USB room today! It is due next week on August 17.

• Class of 2023 - There is an opening for the position of Historian for the Junior Class. If you are interested in running for this position get your application from the USB room today! It is due next week on August 17.

• Listen up Class of 2025! Do you want to get involved? Are you interested in being a leader? Applications are available to be a c/o 2025 Class Officer. Pick up your application now in the USB office. They are due August 25.

• Any new players hoping to play for the DBHS Badminton team this spring need to attend a short meeting on Monday, August 16.
• The meeting will be held in Room 727 at 12:31 PM.
• If you have questions, see Coach Wells during Brunch in Room 727.

NCAA Eligibility Center

Attention Senior Student-Athletes:

If you plan on participating in college-level athletics at the NCAA Division I or II levels and are in contact with college coaches, you must be certified as an eligible athlete by the NCAA ELIGIBILITY CENTER.

*Register online at www.eligibilitycenter.org.

Mr. Patterson, our NCAA GLC, will be notified by the Eligibility Center once you have registered. At that time, your transcript will be sent to the Eligibility Center by Mr. Patterson. Only students in the Class of 2022 should register at this time.

Dear Parents,

All students enrolled at Diamond Bar High School will receive free Brunch and Lunch for the 2021 - 2022 School Year.

Brunch will be served from the main kitchen windows only, and lunch will be served from the main windows and the following campus food distribution locations:

• The shack by the main window (used to be BBQ)
• Downtown DB by the baseball field
• By the gym
• Upper quad
