We had a wonderful first week at PRES! Students in grades 1-4 returned on Wednesday, and we hosted Kindergarten screenings all week, too. We are excited to have our youngest learners in Preschool and kindergarten join us next week!

We ended the week with our first Friday School Spirit Day: Patriots Day! We even had a visit from a special guest during our Friday arrival: The DR Falcon "flew down" and visited us from DRRHS! Students were so excited to wave and high-five our district's mascot. We look forward to more fun and learning next week!

Beginning next week, students will have the option to purchase snacks and small bottles of water. These ala carte items are not included in the Universal Free School Breakfast and Lunch program. To purchase items, students will need to have a "My School Bucks" account with funds to cover their purchase. Snacks for sale will include a variety of chips, Doritos, chocolate chip cookies, and Scooby Snacks for $1.00 each. We will also have small bottled water available for purchase for $0.75.

Hello Palmer River Families-

Many of you have been busy bees getting your back to school supplies. Here in the school there is so much excitement and preparation for the start of this year.

As the nurse, I know some of our children will jump into a random puddle, be splashed by a large water bottle, or even have the occasional oops moment necessitating a change of clothing.

Please send your child with extra clothing to keep as a spare in their cubby or backpack. This may save you a trip to the school and your student some valuable time on learning.

As the weather becomes chilly, I will send a reminder for a warmer selection of garments.
