Bonham High School Board Report

Our teachers, staff and students are making their final push toward our state assessments. Our "Push to STAAR" has our entire Freshman, Sophomore and Junior classes, along with some of our Senior retesters, working weekly on various writing prompts for their Eng. I & Eng. II tests, target Algebraic, Science and U.S. History TEKS during their Warrior Time tutorials.

Our very own Alli Kirkpatric and Jagger Lindsey qualified for the State Tennis Tournament by finishing 2nd in our region! Way to go Warriors!!!

Our Lady Warriors added another victory in the win column for Senior Night this past week. Our two Seniors, Sara Wrape and Ainsley Andrews have provided not only leadership on the field but also in the classrooms this year. Below you can see that we had an amazing night as both Warrior teams garnered victories via walk offs due to our kiddos never quit attitudes and clutch hitting!

Our Ag. Mechanics students recently competed in a build off hosted by Celina high school. In this competition, our students were given a project and a limited amount of materials and had to plan, design and build within a given time constraint. Look at what they came up with!!!

The Bonham Warrior Band earned a SUPERIOR rating in UIL Concert AND Sight Reading!! This achievement along with their Superior Rating in Marching Band earns them the Sweepstakes award! This is only the second time in 30 years for the band to achieve this honor. We are beyond proud of the growth and musicianship these students have demonstrated this year!

Our Bonham High School Vocal Ensemble and their Director, Ms. Anna Waller were awarded a 2nd place, Gold rating in Nashville, TN!!!! We also had a student awarded a Maestro Award (only 9 given): James Aaron Brown! Ms. Waller stated "I’m so proud and have made the best memories." We are very proud of our BHS Choir and how they represented us all in Tennessee!!!!!
