Notes from the WGHS Principals
January 14, 2022
Message from the WGHS Admin Team
It’s Friday! This weekend is sure to be a cold one, and I’d like to take a minute to remind everyone of the purpose of this long weekend. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a holiday meant to honor Dr. King’s fight for racial equality. It is the only federal holiday designated as a ‘national day of service.’ Americans are encouraged to spend MLK day bettering their own communities through volunteer work. While during a pandemic volunteering outside of your home may not be an option, consider spending some time learning about Dr. King’s work. If you’re interested, this article shares some ideas for how to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year.
Before we head into this long weekend, there are a few things we would like to share with our WGHS community. Stay warm and enjoy the weekend!
Sincerely,
The WGHS Administrative Team
