We will be having more walk to school opportunities later in the year. Parent Teacher Conference Sign ups opened up yesterday afternoon (October 5th) at 4pm through the parent portal. Please feel free to reach out with questions. We have a number of events coming up over the next month both in and out of school. Update from Nurse Kaplan
As a reminder from Nurse Kaplan, student safety and wellbeing are some of our top priorities. We are still waiting for updated 2023-24 school year medication for many students along with current doctors orders. For students to participate in activities like field trips they need to be cleared by Nurse Kaplan.
Our Newest South Sharks
Introducing - Mrs. McNally Cohen
Hi All,
I retired in 2021 after 40 years of Government Service. I grew up in Stoughton, even attending the South School. I graduated from Northeastern University. My husband and I have 3 children between us. My daughter is a Lt. in the U.S. Navy. We recently became grandparents with another one on the way. We love our 3 dogs. I am excited to be a South School Shark and working with the children in the library. I hope my love of reading and adventure will make a difference to our students.

All students will receive a copy of their grade level Friendship Directory regardless of whether or not they are included.
This is a great way to connect with other families, schedule meet-ups and distribute party invites!
CLASSROOM PTO REPRESENTATIVES
We are still in need of Classroom PTO Representatives! Thank you to the parents and guardians who have already volunteered to serve as the Classroom PTO Representative for their student's classroom. There has been a lot of interest for many classrooms and you will be notified soon if you are selected to be the rep.
We are still looking for reps for the following classrooms:
- Ms. Montello
- Mrs. Matthies
- Mrs. Laquidara
If your child is in one of these classrooms, we hope you will consider volunteering. The Classroom PTO Representative helps with the communication between the school, PTO and families. Their primary responsibility is to send monthly messages to classroom families with updates on PTO activities. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved without a large time commitment. If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a classroom PTO rep or have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Lori Jacques at lorijacques41@gmail.com.
