Galileo is hosting the Idaho Regional Botball Tournament and JBC Challenge day on April 22nd. We are in need of judges. You do not need to have any robotics or coding experience! We will train you when you arrive. Please consider supporting our school's robotics program at this exciting event!

We have lots of events coming up and lots of great opportunities to help out! There are some sign ups with items needed too so be sure to check them out.

For March, we are helping our Galileo teachers and staff celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a luncheon on Thursday, March 16. Please review the signup and strongly consider helping out however you can!

Congratulations to Galileo’s Middle School MathCounts team who battled valiantly in the regional Math Counts competition held at Boise State University, Saturday, February 25th.

The last day for Chess Club is March 15th. This will also be our end-of-the-year party! Come enjoy a light breakfast and chess games! 8:45am See you there!

2023-2024 OPEN PTA BOARD POSITIONS

We are so grateful for those who volunteer their time and talents to help keep the Galileo PTA going strong! Most of our board positions are nearing the end of their terms and we are looking to fill the following positions for the 2023-2024 school year:

• Staff Appreciation Committee Chair
• Director of Media and Communications
• Directory Chair

If you have a couple of hours during the day that you can spare, we have some paid noon duty positions that need to be filled. Hours are from 11:30-1:00. Tuesday and Thursday are our greatest needs. If you are interested, please contact the Galileo office.

In an effort to keep our students safe and our campus secure, we ask that you please close the gate behind you when you enter the school grounds using the walking path.

Please help us be good neighbors by respecting neighbors' driveways and access as you park near Galileo. Also, please don't park and leave your car unattended in a line that is moving. If you need to leave your car unattended, use one of the parking spots in the main parking lot.

Please remember that Galileo is a closed campus from 8:30-4:30. This includes the walking path and playground areas. Visitors who haven't checked into the office will be asked to check in or to leave campus.

Please check the lost and found for any missing items each Friday. Leftover items will be donated periodically.

Please call the attendance line before 9:30am if your child will be absent for any reason, or will be late to school. Please state your child’s name, teacher and reason for absence. If you are planning a vacation and your student will be absent three or more days please fill out the notification of absence form found here. This form does not excuse the absences, but will help keep everyone informed.
