Week One
Berryton Families,
We had a fantastic first week of learning. A few celebrations that I saw:
- 6th graders teaming up with kindergarteners to safely get on the bus.
- 5th graders learned all about Band and Orchestra instruments.
- Kindergarteners went on "safaris and train rides" in learning all about Berryton!
- Pre-K students spent time learning all about Berryton and adjusting to being in school all day.
- An amazing turnout for Sneak Peek.
I spent the bulk of this week in classrooms and I observed many activities focused around relationship building. I also spent lots of time in the Cafeteria which allowed me to practice student names. In the next few weeks I'll be in each classroom to read a book, share some information about myself, and learn more about each of our students. Our playground should be completed in the early part of next week and we can't wait.
Wishing each of you a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Bervert, Principal

Each Day Matters

Berryton Elementary: Quantum Learning Distinguished School
This fall Berryton Elementary is beginning a two year journey into becoming an official Quantum Learning Distinguished School. This process will provide opportunities for all staff to gain knowledge, strategies and research that will allow us to continually meet more student needs. One aspect of Quantum Learning that is visible throughout Berryton is the eight keys of excellence. If you're not familiar with the eight keys this short video will provide some insight. If you have a returning student ask them to tell you about the eight keys- they'll probably share some actions that accompany each key as well.
