Fire of 1913-what happened?
The fire of Binghamton Clothing company in 1913 killed 33 women at the factory they were working in. More than 50 were injured. This is considered forgotten history that should always be remembered for those fire fighters who lost their lives saving women out of a factory left for ruins. The forgotten fire took place on Wall street in Binghamton. This past July was the 96th anniversary of the fire a monument was dedicated to them.
