Educator Fellows of New Mexico
What is the Educator Fellows Program?
Educator Fellows is a two-year program managed by the New Mexico Public Education Department. The program uses funds made available through the American Rescue Plan Act to promote two major goals:
Create a new teacher/educator pipeline for elementary schools in New Mexico.
Improve adult to student ratios in classrooms as the state recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Educator Fellows Program will create opportunities for those interested in becoming educators by providing resources to districts and state charter schools. These resources will help fund recruitment and retention of Educator Fellow positions, with the ultimate goal of creating a workforce of highly trained and prepared teachers.
