We will be celebrating Veterans day on Friday, 10 Nov 2023 at Bear Branch Elementary School. You are all invited to this celebration of Veterans past and currently serving.

If you are a veteran interested in attending or have family members that are veterans interested in attending, there will be a spot saved for you on stage to be recognized. Please RSVP so we may have your visitor's badge ready (if we have previously scanned your ID).

Past and current military members are invited to arrive at 0830-0850 for a continental breakfast provided by the BBE PTA. A short 15-20 min presentation will follow starting at 0900. Then immediately following, military Veterans are invited to participate in a short parade down Tree Lane as the students wave and celebrate you and your families.

Also, families are invited to send a picture of their Veteran to veterans@bbepta.com as well as their name, students name, how they are related, and which service they served under; we will be preparing a slide show to celebrate these Vets.

Please respond by Wednesday, 8 Nov to let us know a Veteran will be attending.

The Bear Branch 2nd Graders will be traveling to the Society of St. Stephen assistance ministry in Kingwood on Tuesday, November 14 for a tour of the food pantry and clothing area, in coordination with the Thanksgiving Food Drive benefitting SOSS Oct 25 - Nov 10. Parents of 2nd grade students, please submit the Permission Form by Monday, Nov 13.

After reviewing Red Ribbon Week lessons with the counselor and students, they are now educated that any medicine is to be brought to and from the school by a parent/guardian and will be kept in the nurse's office and locked for safety reasons.

Another important topic- cough drops are not allowed in Humble ISD schools per policy.

Please read the Humble ISD medication policy.

A medication form needs to be completed and signed and turned in with the medication in the original container (not a plastic bag).

Prescriptions that are needed for more than 10 days will need a medical provider's authorization signature.

If your child forgets items at home, please deliver to the cubby shelf in the front entry labeled with your child's name, teacher and grade level before 10:00 a.m. Items will be delivered at 10:00 a.m. If you drop off items after 10:00 a.m., please notify the front office and they will call the student to pick up at teacher's discretion.

Copy Room Volunteers are needed to make copies for our teachers.
