Dear CSPES Families,

I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to all of you as we embark on an exciting journey together at Chesapeake Science Point Elementary. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our inaugural school year, where we are setting out to establish a foundation of curiosity, discovery, and academic excellence. The first day of school for 1st-5th grade is August 28th.

As we inaugurate Chesapeake Science Point Elementary, we do so with an immense sense of pride and anticipation. Our team of dedicated educators and staff have been working tirelessly to create an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. Our aim is to inspire students to reach their full potential and become well-rounded individuals who are prepared to embrace the challenges of the 21st century.

At Chesapeake Science Point Elementary, we are committed to providing an engaging and nurturing educational experience that values each student's unique talents and perspectives. Our curriculum is designed to not only meet academic standards but also to encourage students to explore the world around them, ask questions, and seek answers through hands-on activities and collaborative projects.

Want to be 100% ready for the first day of school? Make sure you have completed the following items...

1. Completed your meals application ( https://aacpsschools.org/nutrition/apply-for-free-or-reduced-price-meals/ )
2. Registered for Class Dojo
3. Registered for PickMyKid
4. Sent in your supplies or packed them to come on the first day
5. Reviewed with your scholar what positive behavior looks like at school
6. Labeled their students bookbag and any sweaters or jackets that will be coming to school
7. Reviewed the car rider pick up video ( https://mycspes.org/parents/car-loop-traffic-video/
8. Ensured you know your bus stop ( https://mycspes.org/transportation/bus-routes/ )

As a reminder, we are a uniform school. All uniform tops must be purchased at Flynn O Hara. You can find our complete uniform policy HERE. We are aware that there is a back up in orders. If you currently have a pending order with Flynn O Hara, your student is permitted to wear any color polo until you receive your order. We will be communicating with Flynn O Hara on a daily basis to get order updates.
