Reminder: Friday is a non-student day!
Fall Conferences are November 2 & 3 (no school!)
Believe it or not, fall conferences are right around the corner!
- Friday, October 27 is a non-student day as our teachers prepare for conferences.
- Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3 are student-led parent/teacher conferences (no school).
- Thursday November 23 and Friday November 24 - Thanksgiving holiday (no school).
If you haven't received information about scheduling a conference, please contact your child's school or teacher.
As you may have noticed, the Bremerton School District is focusing on attendance for 2023-24!
Regularly attending class and being present to build important school relationships has a dramatic impact on overall student success. Not attending school can create a series of issues that can add up and span from elementary to high school, even impacting a student’s ability to graduate. Families play an important role in supporting good attendance, in partnership with our schools. To help students succeed academically and later in life, parents should:
Make getting their children to school on time every day a top priority.
Alert your child’s teacher or school counselor to barriers that may be keeping your student(s) from attending class or getting to school on time. We are here to help!
Together we can B Present: Attend today, Achieve tomorrow. We invite you to learn more at www.BremertonSchools.org/BPresent
It is time for the annual Federal Impact Aid survey (in Skyward!)
Please take a moment to log-in to Skyward and complete the annual Federal Impact Aid survey for your student(s).
Step-by-step instructions for accessing and completing the survey are posted on the District website. If you need help accessing Family Access in Skyward, please contact your child’s school. If you have questions about the survey or need help completing the form, please contact Connie.Long@BremertonSchools.org or 360-473-1033.
Bonds are for buildings, levies are for learning
Bremerton School District receives funding from federal, state, and local sources.
Levies bridge the gap between what the state funds and what it costs to meet the needs of every student. Levies can run one to four years and require 50% voter approval, and are collected throughout the years of the levy. Levy funds that are approved by Bremerton voters stay in our community to support Bremerton students.
Have you downloaded our new Stopfinder app?
Stopfinder is a mobile device app that provides you quick and easy access to your student’s transportation schedule, announcements, and more. Stopfinder works with the Bremerton School District transportation software to provide you the most accurate schedule information and updates as quickly as possible. Learn more here!
Parents/guardians should have received an invitation from Stopfinder via email to set-up a Stopfinder account. If you didn't get the email, please contact the Transportation office at 360-473-0507 or Transportation@BremertonSchools.org.
Have you completed your ABCs?
This is a friendly reminder to complete your Annual Back-to-school Check-in process or ABCs. It should take about 15 minutes (or less!) to complete the process for each child in your household.
The ABC process must be completed for all students in the district - including both previously enrolled as well as newly registered students.
Please log-in to Skyward and take a few moments to complete this important process for your student(s) ASAP. Thank you!
Questions about this process? Need help with your Skyward log-in? Please contact your student's school or click here.
Reminder: spring 2023 Smarter Balanced Assessment results now available!
As you may have seen in an email to families last week, results are now available for students in grades 4-9 or 11-12 who participated in the Smarter Balanced Assessment (test) results and/or Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) in spring 2023.
These assessments are administered each spring, with official results available in early fall. To access your student’s test results, log-into Skyward and click on the “portfolio” tab on the left menu bar. These results are NOT in the “test scores” section.
More information about these tests is available on the District website. Please contact your child’s school for assistance accessing Family Access in Skyward, to request a printed copy of these reports, or for ADA compliant versions.
This month we are celebrating...
