Let's finish strong! We have just a short 2 1/2 weeks left in the 2nd quarter. What goals are you still working on? This is a great time to look at what you and your students would still like to accomplish before the end of 2017.

Weekly Updates:

Tuesday, 7:45 Leadership Meeting: Bring any topics you would like to discuss and meet us in the creation station.


Tuesday, K-2 Data Meetings: Please bring your laptop and reading levels. The reading specialists will be joining us, and we will be looking at Dreambox data for 1st and 2nd.


Wednesday, Early Dismissal: Here is the schedule. No assembly this time. Have students wear their buddy shirts.

9:00-9:30 Buddy Activity only; Lunch remains the same


9:35-10:10 3rd grade

10:10-10:35 Kindergarten

10:35-11:10 5th Grade

11:10-11:45 4th grade

12:15-12:50 1st grade

12:50-1:25 2nd grade


PD in afternoon: We will be meeting in the library to focus on the topic of PBL (Project Based Learning).


Thursday 3-5 Learning Labs: Please join us in the Creation Station for some STEMifying the curriculum


Friday, SkyZone Trip: We will call students to the lobby (more details to come later in the week). They will be eating lunch at SkyZone as well.

Holidays Around the World

This can be an ideal time to discuss how people celebrate holidays around the world – both the uniqueness of traditions and also the many commonalities. There are many similar themes and symbols including the celebration of light in the darkness, showing gratitude for food, family and life and pause for reflection or prayer. This website lists some of the major holidays during this time. We are working on putting together a collection of books available to help students learn more about these holidays. We would love to come visit your classrooms as you share this information with students.
