Meet Our New Dean of Students!

Mr. Jamie Williams

Mr. Jamie J. Williams is a native of Greenville Mississippi. He was a 2010 graduate of Greenville-Weston High School. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelor’s degree in History. He attended Grand Canyon University where he received his Master’s degree in Secondary Education. He began teaching at Coleman Middle School in Greenville, where he was a 6th grade learning interventionist. He relocated to Memphis in 2015 where he taught 7th Grade Social Studies at Power Center Academy Middle School for three years. In 2018, Mr. Williams transitioned to Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering where he taught 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies and High School African American History. He recently completed his Masters degree in Educational Leadership program at Grand Canyon University. In his leisure, he likes to travel, deer and rabbit hunt, crappie fishing and attending College Football Games.

Important COVID Protocols Reminders

As we prioritizes health and safety with our full return to in-person instruction, MSEC is updating its safety protocols. MSEC is maintaining several health protocols while enhancing safety measures. We are mindful of the rising cases and the spread of the Delta variant. Therefore, masks should be worn indoors (schools) and on buses by all employees and students, regardless of vaccination status until further notice.

School Policy Reminders

The weather is finally cooling down; however, please remember our "no hood" policy. Per the student handbook: Students are not permitted to wear a jacket with a hood, even if it was previously purchased through a school sponsored club or sport. (Students are not allowed to tuck their hoods in the inside of their jacket) Hoodies (sweatshirt-style pullovers with a hood) are not permitted, even those with the school logo or given for club/athletic participation.


Also, the use of non school issued technoolgy is strictly prohibited during the school day.

Our Student Council partnered with the Science department to package Chemistry-themed craft bags for children at Lebonheur Hospital as a service project for our students to celebrate National Chemistry Week.
