Take Home Tuesday

Can you believe it's already May?! This school year has certainly flown by and we are counting down to the final days of school (18 days for PreK-7 and 9 days for 8th Grade). Reminder there is a Noon dismissal this Friday (May 6).

Here are some reminders about the final month of school:

• Songfest: May 12 and 13 at 1:30 PM in the gym
• Overdue Library Books: Mrs. Turbes has given overdue library book handouts to each student who still has books out from our school library. Please look for this handout and return the books by May 10. If you are not sure about overdue books, please contact Mrs. Turbes (sturbes@stcecilia.net).
• Lunch Balances: Please check your family Sycamore account to see if your family has a negative lunch account balance. We would like all negative accounts to be paid by May 10.
• Student Medications: If your child has brought in medication at any time this school year (Tylenol, inhalers, Epipens, allergy meds, etc.), a parent must pick this up on the last day of school.

We are currently at 93% of our fundraising goal for the school playground! Thankful for ABC and Home & School for providing a $13,500 donation this past month.

Some of you have asked "We are so close to our goal, what else can we do?!" The next chance to donate for the playground is through Joy of Giving Day. This 24-hour day of giving benefits all parishes, schools, ministries, and organizations of the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Don't want to wait that long to make our dream come true? You're in luck! From May 2nd-May 17th, you can begin donating to St. Cecilia!

Once more for those of you in the back - we need just over $7,000 to make the playground a reality for our community. We have been in contact with our playground company and they said construction could start as early as August if we can get our funding wrapped up this Spring!

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped at the Home & School Garage Sale this past weekend. Special thanks to Mickey Harrington, Amber Anderson, Jean Smith, Deisy Andrew, and the Knights of Columbus. There were MANY other volunteers to who helped to bring in around $5,500 in just one weekend!

It's almost time to pick up your plants from the ABC Plant Sale! Pickup is one day only: May 4th from 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM. We could use lots of volunteers to help with this event.
