The 5th graders enjoyed their science experiment teaching the rock cycle.
FFA Attends Stock Show
Wednesday, 52 FFA students attended the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. They had a great day and were able to enjoy the rodeo in the evening that celebrated first responders.
Thank to advisor Mrs. Dreitz for taking the students and Mrs. Houston for helping to sponsor.
White Out Night at Basketball Game Friday Night
Our first WHITE OUT NIGHT is coming!

Silent Auction of donated baskets.
There will be WHITE OUT shirts for sale on Friday while supplies last. We do not have many left.

Middle School Girls' Basketball
The MS girls hosted the Wiggins Tigers on Tuesday afternoon. The girls played hard but only the C team came away with the win.
C (6th Graders) team: won
B (7th Graders) team: lost
A team: lost
The girls will be back in action on Saturday morning as they host the Sedgwick County Cougars.
High School Basketball
The high school girls and boys basketball teams had a busy weekend last week hosting Briggsdale on Thursday and traveling to Wray on Friday.
The boys team defeated Briggsdale 46-40 and the girls lost 37-42.
At Wray the girls came away with the win 54-23 while the boys lost 44-65.
Akron will host Fleming on Thursday and Yuma on Friday.

Friday was a great night for our wrestlers with duals against Merino and Stratton.

Porteus v Fye loss with a pin 1:07
Livesay v Hillman win with a pin 1:22

Then Saturday the Akron wrestlers traveled to Wiggins. They walked away with 3 placers: Kaleb Grauer 3rd at 126#, Tayshaun Thomas 2nd at 132# and Merek Charney 1st at 120#. Everybody showed improvement collectively.
