Energizing Community Through Art!
Coming soon to a library near you: the CB to You Mobile Art Lab!
The CB to You Mobile Art Lab is a traveling pop-up art experience energizing the power of community through art. Featuring regional artists from across Northwest Arkansas, the art lab will be visiting local libraries and festivals around the region to bring artmaking, music, storytelling, and more.
The mobile art lab will run from August 18 to December 20, with each stop on the tour providing four days of creativity and conversation. From live demonstrations and drop-in artmaking to artist talks and live music, the CB to You Mobile Art Lab promises to bring a bit of inspired fun for everyone.

Pop-up performances will be performed by Papa Rap’s the fun love drum line, Craig Colorusso’s Lady Bug Cathedral Sessions, and Music Moves. Story sharing events are presented with Ozark Poets and Writers Collective, Open Mouth Reading Series, and Poetic Justice: Speak Your Jewel!
What to Expect at CB to You
- Art in Action: With interactive artist demos and drop-in studio visits, each of CB to You’s guest artists will explore what community means through resilience and storytelling. You’ll get to meet the artists, hear about their inspiration, and even make some works of your own.
- Art and Inspiration Coming to You: The mobile art lab will tour from August 18 to December 20, visiting local community libraries and festivals for four days. Libraries included on the tour are Rogers, Springdale, Fort Smith, Fayetteville satellite location, Siloam Springs, Huntsville, and West Fork. Each day of the visit will feature different activities and artists, as well as pop-up performances throughout the evening and weekend. Each stop will culminate in a free outdoor concert and community art showcase.
- A Place to be Heard through Story Sharing: Guest artists will host discussions with community members about their works. We’ll also have Storycircles facilitated by artists from the Ozark Poets and Writers Collective, Open Mouth Reading Series, and Poetic Justice Collective: Speak Your Jewell for guests to share their own stories of community, family, and resilience.
- Something to Take With You: Besides the inspiration and fun, we’ll also have free art kits at partner libraries with art supplies and free exhibition tickets for the museum’s temporary art exhibition Crystal Bridges at 10.
- Twice the Fun: After getting to know you on the first tour, we’ll be returning to each library later in the Fall with brand new experiences, artists, and artworks that you’ll have a hand in shaping. Created in response to what each community has to say, our return tour will be our way of saying “thank you” to all the fantastic hosts, artists, community partners, and people that we’ve met along the way.
