The Largo Principal's Parent Press is a bi-weekly communication newsletter that will be used to keep parents in the know about events, happenings, and updates at Largo High School straight from Principal Lewis' desk.

Maryland’s Most Improved Schools, According to Test Scores

Homecoming Week at Largo has been an amazing experience with students and staff participating in our themed days and activities. As we wind down "Spirit Week," here are the remaining events:

• Class Night (Thursday, 2:45 to 5:45 p.m.)
• Pep Rally (Friday, October 6 - 12:45 to 2:25 p.m.)
• Largo Homecoming Game vs. Crossland (Friday, October 6 - 7:00 p.m. kickoff)
• Homecoming Dance (Saturday, October 7 - 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.)

If your child is attending the homecoming dance, with respect to our staff will be supporting this event, please pick your child up by 11:00 pm. Your support and respect for the end time would be greatly appreciated.

We will host parent-teacher conferences on Monday, October 9 virtually. Conferences with parents and guardians will be in increments of 15 minutes. Please email your teacher in advance to grab your desired time slot. Please see the link below to view teacher Zoom and email information. This information will also be available on the Largo High School website.

Progress report grades are now available via SchoolMax. Please log in to view your child's academic progress through the first half of quarter one. Please connect with our Professional School Counselors, if you would like to have a connect with your child's teachers in the event you are not able to join us for conferences on October 9.

We need your help! Did you know that Largo High School has an 87% attendance rate? While its not bad, it could be better. We are asking parents to aim to drop students off between 7:25 and 7:35 a.m., which will allow students ample time to get to class on time. INSTRUCTION BEGINS AT 7:45! If parents or loved ones drop students off at 7:45 a.m. we have already set the expectation that tardiness is acceptable. Parents and guardians, please do your part to make sure that we set our students up for success.

Option 1

Students can visit their neighborhood branch and use their student id cards or access your LINK account online.

Option 2

Use the following when prompted for a library card number and/or pin::

• Library Card Number: Use PGCPS+the 9-digits of their student ID number

• Password/Pin: Use the last 4-digits of student ID number
