We are brave... We are Proud...We are Determined... WE ARE HAWKS!
A Note From the Principal...
It's hard to believe five weeks have passed already! We have spent the first several weeks focusing on establishing a lot of new routines and practices for both in-person and virtual learning. My biggest highlight from in-person learning last week is seeing so many students engaged in learning, in spite of all of the obstacles. Our staff and students are extremely determined, creative, and open-minded! Here are some of my other highlights:
- Enjoy this short video of Mr. Marshall's fourth grade students learning body percussion outside on a beautiful day!
- Thank you to our wonderful custodial staff for working so hard each day to keep our building clean. We appreciate all you do!
- I had the privilege of handing out our first Student of the Week Awards!
Sincerely,
Debbie Brauher
Thank you to our WONDERFUL custodians! We appreciate you!

What it is: Being present means that when you are with others you are fully listening and giving them your complete attention.
Why it matters: Research indicates that positive relationships are the key to health, happiness, and resilience. Being present when we are with others allows us to build strong relationships.
"Live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering."

Arrival Procedures...
- If you are dropping your child off, if possible, please wait until 9:20 AM when we let students into the building. This helps with social distancing and congestion.
Dismissal- Picking your child up from school...
- If your child's regular routine changes, please send a note to your child's teacher.
- If you are calling the office to dismiss your child early or to change his/her dimissal procedure, please do so by 3:00 PM. Whenever possible, please avoid calling just before our dismissal process begins from about 3:45 on. During this time, all staff is working hard to ensure students get where they need to be and it is not always easy to contact teachers with last minute changes.
- If you are using the pick up/drop off lane, please have your child exit and enter your car on the grassy side.
- Please have your child bring an umbrella or wear a raincoat on the days it looks like rain is in the forecast.
Visitors...
Visitors must have an appointment to enter the building. All visitors will be screened outside by our securtiy guard before entering and must be wearing a mask to enter.
If you are dropping off items for your child, the security guard will meet you outside to collect the item/s.
