Dear Parent(s),

On Thursday March 3rd students will receive their 2nd report card. Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Wednesday March 9th, both virtually and in person. Below is the information required for you to sign up for interviews...if need be.

Also, I will be sending out a separate email after the Alberta Government announcements for Covid19 scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26th. I hope to provide you with information as it pertains specifically to GYPSD/Pine Grove Middle School.

The following students have been selected as February's RockStars winners. Each student demonstrated our Core Values qualities of Growth, Effective Relationships and Respect. Each student received a positive phone call to parents and a gift certificate to Subway.

Mrs.Rowand’s Gr.8 Outdoor Education class spent the afternoon learning how to make winter shelters. The class learned about the insulating properties of snow and how to optimize their body heat in the event that they were ever stranded overnight in the winter.

Math 6 class played a collaborative team game to review math concepts for our Ratios, Fractions, and Percent unit. Students worked together to answer questions put up on the board. The students did a great job with including everyone and helping each other review the concepts learned in class.

Parent/ teacher interviews are running on March 9th. In-person and virtual options are available to parents. You can book an appointment through our school website. Here are some camps that you can attend to develop better ball handling and scoring moves.

These camps will help you develop effective dribble moves to blow by defenders, beat defensive pressure, reduce turnovers, score at will against tough defenders, and become the player that the coach depends on to handle the ball during crunch time!
