Chateaugay Central School is proud to announce our participation in the 2017 Big Change Roundup for Kids. During the week of February 6-February 10th we will be collecting loose change. All of the money collected will go directly to children and families in need at The University of Vermont Children's Hospital. Our goal is to collect $500.00! YOU can make a difference one dime (quarter, penny, nickel, Susan B. Anthony Dollar - you get the idea) at a time. Thank you for your support!

Kindness Week

A kindness chain - crazy hair and socks - pajamas - signs all over the building reminding us all about the importance of kindness - hearts - hats - sports teams - the list goes on and on. It was an exciting and uplifting week at CCS during the Great Kindness Challenge. Thank you to all who helped make the week such a success and important time in the lives if our students. We will continue to work hard at being kind all year long.

Senior Pictures

Class of 2017 Through the Years yearbook page needs pictures. Seniors have been asked to bring in pictures they'd like to see in this page. Hard copies will be scanned and returned. If you'd like to send them electronically send directly to Vicki Gardiner at v.gardiner@chateaugaycsd.org

Pajamas Party in 4th Grade

Thanks Mrs. Gardiner for sharing some pictures of the comfy kids in pajamas. One of the kindness week events was a pajamas day to remind students to "Dream of Kindness".

Bowling Fundraiser

The Adult/Jr. 9-Pin Tournament was a successful fundraiser for the varsity bowling team. We were able to raise money for our warm up jackets, t-shirts, & uniforms for the team going to states. We want to thank everyone who bowled, bought baked goods, and raffle tickets. Also, a big thank you to all the people and businesses who donated to our fundraiser. We are so blessed to live in such a caring and generous community.

Mission of Hope

From Mr. Reynolds - "On Wednesday February 1st the Chateaugay Central School Athletic Association assisted the North Country Mission of Hope by participating in a community service project. Thirty-two student-athletes aided the North Country Mission of Hope volunteers by loading shipping containers with medical equipment and supplies, clothes and other various essential items. This container is headed to the Country of Nicaragua and to those people who are less fortunate. The students also worked extremely hard helping to get the Mission ready for a major move due to the fact that they will no longer have the use of the storage facility they are currently using.

These young ladies and gentlemen worked extremely hard, stayed on task and acted mature beyond their years. Mr. LaPlante and I could not have been prouder of how our CCS student-athletes displayed such kindness, especially during kindness week."

A thousand words right?

She Blinded Me With Science - (not really but 80s songs are fun)

​This week Mrs. Calnon had the opportunity to join Mrs. Thomas' third grade class during their Science block. ​The third grade students were investigating​ the different ecosystems and working on being able to tell the ecosystems apart based on their characteristics. ​The students were working in collaborative groups to accomplish the task of filling in their graphic organizer. Successful group work benefits students academically and socially! Good work, third graders! ​​

The boys' basketball team provided a nice treat for the Bulldog fans by singing the National Anthem at their last home game. We wish the seniors well.
