Classroom Spot Light- Grade 1 Mrs. Beatty

Students in Grade 1 celebrated Earth Day by listening to The "Lorax" then creating wonderful writings about how they can help take care of the earth. Then, students made wonderful drawings to go along with their writings.

Covington ABC Countdown

This year, Covington is participating in an ABC countdown. This will begin on Thursday, April 28th. Students will be sent home with a calendar with all of the themed days. Students can pick and choose which days they would like to participate. A full calendar of days can be found on the Covington ABC Countdown Calendar.

Upcoming Days

Thursday, April 28th: 'All About You Day' - wear something special that represents you such as a favorite color, cultural, or sports team

Friday, April 29th: 'Be Healthy Day' - find some extra time to exercise during the day

Monday, May 2nd: 'Crazy Sock Day' - wear those crazy socks to school!

Tuesday, May 3rd: 'Dear Day' - write a letter to a friend, a teacher, or a family member

District 123 Art Show

We are excited to welcome back our District 123 Art Show. This year's event will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. It will be held in the Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School Gymnasium.

Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School is located 5345 W. 99th Street.
