Reminders from Previous Newsletters
Early Dismissal
Students are not permitted to leave school on their own prior to the end of the school day (2:45). The parent/guardian or any adult listed on the student’s emergency contact card can pick them up from school.
When arriving to pick up your student, please inform one of our staff members in the lobby of your child's full name and homeroom class number. This will allow us to call your child down promptly. We kindly request that you avoid early pick up during their lunch period or right before dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation.
Donations
As we approach the cold and flu season, we need your assistance. To ensure a safe and healthy environment, we’re asking for donations of tissues, disinfecting wipes, paper towels, and hand sanitizer. Your contributions make a big difference. Donations can be dropped off at the school. We thank you in advance for your support.
A Few Words from the Parents' Association
Thank Yous
Thanks to all the parents who attended our Parent Social this past week at Tacombi! It was lovely meeting new parents and seeing old friends. We also appreciate our board members who helped host the event.
Thank you also to the incredible crew (including some Wagner alumni!) who helped put together a FUN 8th grade scary movie night. The kids had a blast, and we suspect the adults did, too!
WagnerWear Flash Sale
Check out Wagner’s new limited edition designs, including the iconic subway shirt that until now was issued only to teachers and staff. We also have new hoodies and long sleeve shirts featuring Fall Sports teams (with winter teams coming soon). Click here to check out the collection! You can pre-order through November 21st. Items will arrive in plenty of time for the holidays.
Parents' Association Meeting
Please join us this Friday, November 17th for our PA meeting! Asst. Principal Stefanick and “the Dean Team” will do a special presentation called “Parents as Partners,” which includes important information for parents of all grade levels. As a reminder, all Wagner parents and guardians are encouraged to attend! Click here to sign up.
Winter Parent Social
We’re excited to announce our next parent social which will be held on December 4th at 6:30pm at Framebridge, right around the corner from Wagner! Framebridge is graciously hosting us, providing drinks and nibbles at no cost. If you have anything you’d like framed, bring it along - or just peruse their offerings. For one week, Framebridge will donate 10% of any sales back to Wagner. Perfect opportunity to frame some holiday gifts while helping give back to the school.
Wagner Wishes
If you’re looking for a way to support the PA, please check out our Amazon wish list here. Every purchase goes directly to the PA, from treats for special events, to storage bins for all those treats. At the moment, we could especially use some of those bins. Apparently, little critters like Fritos as much as the kids do. :-)
Family Appeal
The Parents’ Association budget at Wagner Middle School supports vital programs for over 1,100 students, including enrichment, staff development, technology upgrades, parent and student workshops, and so much more. Please support the PA and the Wagner community by making a donation. We’d love to have 100% family participation by June! Any amount is appreciated. Click here for more information.
Auction
The Auction Committee is off and running, planning for our annual auction party on May 10th! If you’d like to join the committee or just find out more about how you can help, please email Danika, Sara, and Marielle at wagnerauction167@mail.wagner167.org.
