Professional Development

The 8 ways of Aboriginal Learning course can be run in one day, over two sessions or in negotiation with the participants/schools/community groups.


The first session explores the resources, lessons and cultural protocols of teaching within the 8 ways of Aboriginal Learning. Participants will be given time within the session to review a current unit of work or assessment task that uses elements of the 8 ways of Aboriginal Learning.


The second session gives participants the opportunity to showcase their learning and explore other resources within the Canberra/Queanbeyan area.


This course is for P-12 teachers, with a variety of resources being provided to address the cross curriculum perspectives of the National Curriculum as well as the new ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies Indigenous unit.


TQI Accreditation for 5 hours.
