As we begin a new and final marking period, students are reminded to stay focused on their schoolwork and continue to put forth or increase the effort they did during the first two marking periods. Mrs.DeHaan will be meeting with students that are failing at this time. This month sixth graders will have a Guidance lesson about study skills and time management.

The third trimester will begin on March 11th and June will not be far behind! 7th graders are more than halfway through their middle school careers! Wow!

Students are reminded that good attendance is essential to their learning. Parents are routinely contacted regarding students with attendance concerns. Attendance meetings occur with administration when absences are excessive. School Counselors are available to support students who have difficulty attending school regularly. Please feel free to reach out if needed.

Students recently had a Guidance Lesson about course registration and transitioning to High School. 8th-graders have now completed making course selections in PowerSchool. Over the next couple of weeks, Mrs. Funaro will be checking schedules to make sure students have registered correctly and calling down any students who need adjustments made. Any students who would like to make additional changes should see Mrs. Funaro asap. With the trimester now ending on 3/10, Mrs. Funaro will continue meeting with students of academic concern.
