These first 10 weeks of school have flown by! Our students are establishing healthy daily routines that ensure their success. We had a full calendar of events including picture day, a Fire Safety Assembly, K-Kids / CES Cares Club started, Lego Club, True Community Credit Union started, and tons of hands-on learning.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up, and this is a great time to reconnect with your Little Eagle's teacher to help support the learning in the classroom. Teachers will be reaching out to set up times with families to meet. Feel free to call the office for more details.
As the weather continues to change, please remember to send your student with a jacket, hat, gloves, etc. to ensure their comfort throughout the day. All students are expected to participate in outdoor recess unless there is inclement weather.

Counselor Corner
This month our Character Trait focus is: Gratitude.
We will practice positive mantras with students as a way to explore how to feel grateful for all the things in their lives.
- Conference times - If you would like me to attend your child's conference please let me or your students teacher know.
- Small Groups -In November I will be starting small groups. Working close with teachers, some students have been placed in groups they will benefit from to build skills in areas of social/friendship, worry, confidence and life transitions. If you student has been chosen for a group a letter should have come home in the next week with them. Please review and return the letter as soon as possible.
As always, please feel free to reach out if you are in need of resources or if there is a way I can support your student as we move into the new school year.
I can be reached at: ashley.phelps@myeagles.org or 517-769-8557.
Nurse's Corner
Thanksgiving is a time when we all reflect on the things in our lives that we're grateful for, which often include good health and happiness. This is also a time of year when many families gather together or even travel for the holiday. Although it is important to be with family during this time, it is also important to appreciate the gift of health. Here are some helpful tips to support your efforts for health and safety for all this season:
1. Wash your hands often
2. Cover nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing
3. Stay dry and dress warm using several layers if going outside
4. Manage stress
5. Get proper sleep
6. Travel safely
7. Don't forget about yearly check-ups and the Flu shot!
8. Develop rules about acceptable and safe behaviors
9. With fires more likely in the winter, do not leave candles/stoves/fireplaces on with children unattended- ensure smoke detectors are up to date
10. Find fun ways to stay active and balance treats with other fun, healthy food options
Medication Reminder!
If your student has an allergy or food preference you would like us to abide by here at school, please contact me so I can make our kitchen staff aware.
Any other questions, you can contact me at paige.schlegel@myeagles.org

Attendance Matters!
Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call in advance if your child will not be in school.
