Thank you all again for your attention, thoughtful insights, and conversation today. Professional development, especially in education it seems, doesn't always live up to its name. Your thoughtful questions and engagement were key to what I considered a refreshing PD learning experience. I may not say this enough, but I am grateful to be a member of this dedicated team. Your effort and care for our students does not go unnoticed; I am inspired by your commitment to our school and students.

Picture Day:

Wednesday, February 20, is spring picture day. If you are a Zilker staff member and you have had your picture taken this school year, please be sure to do so on picture day. Our Panthers want to see ALL of our lovely faces in the year book.

Parent Conference Day is February 18th

Please begin scheduling conferences with parents of students who are performing below grade level or have attendance or behavioral concerns. Conferences are optional for students performing on or above grade level unless requested by parents.

If you are conferencing with the parents of a 504 student who is due for an annual 504 meeting, please let Ms. Vreeland know. If she is able to attend, the parent conference can serve as a 504 meeting as well.

If you have not yet completed the 2019-2020 intention form, please do so ASAP.

STEAM LAB:

Our new STEAM lab was designed to offer our students a flexible learning space with resources that foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. We will continue to add to our collection of resources throughout the year so that the space is even more functional. As we work to enhance the space, I would like to find ways to support the use and development of the lab. If you are interested in learning more about a specific computer program, app, or anything else in our lab, please use this form to let me know. We are fortunate to have many school and district level experts we can call on to provide tech tips for those of you with questions and ideas.
