Note from the Principal

Good morning!

This past week was one of joy and excitement for our students and teachers. It was absolutely wonderful to see our K-5 students back on campus. As I walked through the halls I heard the sounds of engaged students learning in the same physical space as their peers, and even though they were masked and distant, it was a wonderful step towards a full reopening at a later date. The Phase III plan for our middle school students to return to campus will be released this Friday.

Book Pick-Up/Drop-Off

Our next Book and Supply Pick-Up/Drop-Off will be on April 29thth (5-6 PM). Due to the small number of students still needing book pick-up and the schedule change, there will be no organized book pick up on Friday. If you cannot make it to the Thursday time slot, please call or email the office for an alternative time. Students attending on campus and their siblings do NOT need to come to book pick up.

Summer Enrichment/Sports Camp

Are you interested in academic enrichment this summer? What about a fun day camp centered around sports and our Catholic faith? Please complete this survey to indicate your interest!

Spring Picture Sign Up

Photos are this Friday! All fully virtual students should sign up for a photo appointment here.

Hybrid and full time on campus students do not need to make an appointment.

BOOST Scholarship

BOOST is a State Maryland Program that provides scholarships to eligible students in Grades K-8 to attend a nonpublic school. BOOST scholarships are available to public school students and current nonpublic school students whose family income is:

$30,044 or less for a family of 2

$37,777 or less for a family of 3,

$45,510 or less for a family of 4

$53,243 or less for a family of 5.

The deadline for the 2021 - 2022 school year is May 17, 2021.

Boosterthon

We’re only 2 weeks away from our Activity-Thon, April 29 (9am-10:30am)! Our goal is to raise as much as we can for our PLAYGROUND.

On behalf of the HSA we are excited to share, last week, we had 48 students registered for our Activity-Thon and have raised $3,565 in our first week.

The parents of students registered have received two (2) volunteer hours.

Students registered as of noon on Friday, received a gift bag.

Students registered through Tuesday at noon will receive a gift bag Tuesday.

Students registered through Thursday at noon will receive a gift bag Thursday.

Week One Contest Winners

Top 3 Classes with the highest fundraising, teacher will receive $50 gift card and students $100 gift card (PK-2) (3-5) (6-8)

St. Mary of the Assumption CYO Track Team

This season, the St. Mary of the Assumption CYO will be starting a Track Team!

Students ages 7-14 may participate in track events. There will be a variety of events including the 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600 meter races. Given the pandemic, track meets will be held either on Saturdays or Sundays at Elizabeth Seton HS. Locations and times will be announced the week prior to the meet.

Social distancing protocols will be in effect which may require 2 sessions. One session for girls and one for boys, to reduce the number of students at the track at a given time.

Each athlete will be allowed to participate in no more than 4 events. Once athletes complete their events, they must immediately leave the track.

There will be no practices at this time. Once additional restrictions are lifted practices may begin.

The cost to participate is $70. This cost is for the entire season.
