Hi Village School! My name is Ruth O'Brien and I am part of the Instructional Technology Team. I have been at The Village School for 16 years teaching K-4 technology. I love working here because Village feels like a family.

In my spare time I love to do a variety of things. I love to read, attend concerts, go to musicals, go to the beach and take road trips. Most of all I love to spend time with my family. I am married, with 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.

One of my favorite Chrome tools is the "Tab Scissors" and "Tab Glue" extensions. This allows me to work with two windows open side-by-side at the same time. Once you add these extensions you will see the scissors and glue tip in your Chromebook tool bar.

Here's how it works....

If you have at least two tabs open in the selected Chrome window it will split that window into smaller side-by-side windows. All the tabs on the left side of the selected tab will stay in the left window, and the rest will move to the window on the right. All you have to do is click on the scissors icon to split the window, then click on the glue tip icon that puts all of your Chrome tabs back together into one window. It's that simple!

You can add these extensions by going to the Chrome Web Store and search for Tab Scissors and Tab Glue or click on the URL's below.
