Principal Update
12/1/22
Dear LP Families,
Welcome to December! As a parent and a principal, I know how busy this time of year can be for families. We have many things to look forward to in school this month, including learning about family traditions and cultures, a community circle, report cards, and winter recess!
As a school community, we believe it is important to honor the different traditions that all families have and learn from each other. In that spirit, we are going to create 'tradition tables' in each classroom. Students will be invited to contribute a small item that could symbolize a tradition that your family shares together- a family story, a recipe, a way a holiday is celebrated, a meaningful song or anything that your family does that is special. A flyer with more info will be coming home soon! In addition, we would also like to extend an opportunity for families to video record this experience in order to share their tradition with our school! We already have three families signed up, so exciting! If you are interested, please see the flyer below and be sure to fill out the interest form.
I hope you have a good weekend,
Dr. Bello

Family Traditions Project!
We are looking to record families who are willing to share one family tradition - a family story, a recipe, a way a holiday is celebrated, a meaningful song, or anything that your family does that is special and why it's important to you. We will compile these stories to make one video to show our students. During this time of the year, it is important to honor the different traditions that all families have and learn from each other.
We are recording families on December 14th in two sessions: 8:00am or 2:00pm. If you are interested, please complete this form:
