Angling Road Families,

August always fills me with such excitement for all that a new school year brings! As we prepare for a new school year, I am especially focused on increasing family communication through the use of a Monday CREW News. I hope that this week's CREW News finds your family enjoying the last few weeks of summer! Please do not hesitate to reach out for anything you need to help transition into the new school year!

It's an exciting time of year! Our amazing Custodial Crew has been working together to prepare our building and classrooms for our Angling Road Elementary CREW! Our Main Office will be open to the public on Wednesday, August 16th. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or need for more information:

Some of our Kindergarten families were not able to attend our Popsicles in the Park this spring. We want to offer another opportunity for our K Families to come to school before Open House. If you are interested, please join us Wednesday, August 16th 5-6pm in our Library. Olive, our CREW Comfort Dog, will be one of our special guests! Please see the attached flier for more information and a sweet picture of Olive!

Our teachers are excited to welcome their new students to their classroom! Welcome letters will be sent by the end of the day Friday. If you do not hear from your child's new teacher, please contact Ms. Burns at kburns@portageps.org or 323-6061. She's always glad to help!

Our PTO has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming year! Please stop by our PTO Table at Open House to learn about our Amazing PTO and how they support Angling Road Students and Staff. Volunteer opportunities for open Board Positions, Chair Positions and Events will be available. Please do not hesitate to email PTO prior to Open House if you are interested in volunteering this school year; we appreciate our volunteers!
