Weekly Announcements & Updates

*Attention Lee High School students! The STEM Summer Institute is a 2 week summer program to prepare rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students for the ACT test, college, and participate in various STEM activities. Students who complete the program see an average of a 3-5 point average growth on their ACT. The program is entirely free and includes great lunch each day, a college tour, fun activities, and much more. Click here to apply and you must apply by next Monday, May 1st. See Mr. Holder or Ms. Heller with any questions.

*Attention anyone interested in playing Girls Basketball next school year! Workouts are Monday - Thursday 4pm - 5pm in the weight room down by the Auxiliary gym. See Coach Silas in room 241 if you have any questions.

*Attention Lee High School Students! Are you a leader? SGA (Student Government) and Class Officer Applications for next year are due Wednesday, April 26! Please pick up an application outside of the counselor’s offices or the library.

*Attention Lee High School Students! The 2023 Lee's Got Talent Show will be May 12th at 1:00 in the theatre. Auditions will be Thursday & Friday April 28-29 at 3:50pm in the choir room. Prizes are $75 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd.

*Senior Night for Lee Boys and Girls Soccer teams in on Thursday, 4/27 after the girls game. Come support our five seniors: Davin Taylor, Oniesh Tomlinson, Jesus Hernadenz, Aveen Martz and Rita Clark. The girls play at 5:00 and the boys play at 7:00.

*Seniors, your $100 mandatory graduation fee is due. This fee covers your cap, gown, stole, diploma, diploma cover and tassel. You get to keep all items. You can pay online at myschoolfees.com or see Mrs. Fields or Ms. Swopes to pay in person. Cash, check or money order is accepted. NO payments via paypal or cashapp. All other school fees must be paid before May. If you need to know what you owe, see Ms. Swopes. Allowable honor society cords for graduation can be ordered with Mrs. Fields in the library. They are $10 each.

*Attention Seniors! Academic & Arts Signing Day is coming up on May 1st. Seniors who have received any scholarship that can be applied to the college of their choice are invited to participate. See Mrs. Fields for more information.

*Senior Awards Day is Sunday, May 7 @ 3 pm. Mark your calendar now for this mandatory event. Dress Code - for Awards Day & Graduation - white dress or dark slacks with white dress shirt, no sneakers, or flip flops.

*Yearbooks are on sale now! The price is $40 and you can pay online at MySchoolFees or in person to Ms. King during zero period ONLY in room 124.

*CHECK STUDENT FEES ONLINE! LHS student fees can be viewed and paid online anytime by visiting https://secure3.myschoolfees.com select AL-HUNTSVILLE CITY-LEE HIGH, and register as a New User. You will need your student’s PowerSchool ID Number. You may also pay by cash or check at the school. Remember to check fees periodically for any changes that may occur. Shout-Outs

  • Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from last week! Michell Cabrera-Reyes comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, she participates in ROTC and the Archery team. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking. After graduating from high school, she wants to go to college for Culinary Arts or join the Army. Her favorite teacher here at Lee is 1st Sgt. Jackson because he always tries to help every student. Marcus Baker comes to us from the Academy for Science and Foreign Language Middle School. Here at Lee, he participates in the band where he plays the bass drum. In his free time, he enjoys playing PlayStation. After graduating from high school, he wants to go to college for engineering. His favorite teacher here at Lee is Mr. Pearson because he's funny. Shout-out to both of them for living out our #FamiLEE values so well!

  • The Vocal Performance Magnet will present their "Sounds of Soul" Dinner Theater at The Fellowship of Faith Church (3703 N. Memorial Parkway Huntsville, AL 35810) on May 9th at 6:00pm. Come listen to the soulful sounds of our amazing students featuring the music stylings of artist such as Otis Redding, India Arie, SWV, Adele, and many more while enjoying some delicious soul food! Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased at this link.
