BISD Board Goal 5: Improve academic achievement of all students through communication, access to information and a network of community partnerships.

Texas Farm Bureau supports educators regularly. In preparation for Ag Literacy Week, they sent us the book I Love Strawberries. The students were then given the opportunity to try strawberries that had been grown in Fannin County.

First United Bank provided lessons to our 3rd grade students on Financial Literacy. During one of the lessons, each 3rd grade student received a bank.

The parents of our first grade students, that have been identified as having dyslexia tendencies, learned about the opportunities their children will have in BISD. While the parents learned, the kids dug for treasures.

BISD Board Goal 4: Promote a positive and service-oriented culture within the Bonham ISD.

Finley-Oates was honored to be able to recognize the Communication Officers of the Bonham Police Department and provide them lunch.

BISD Board Goal 3: Ensure all students have high levels of academic achievement

with a focus on literacy and mathematics through improved leadership, instruction, support and a climate of continuous improvement.

Students enjoyed the nice weather while practicing measurement skills.

These kindergarten students are learning about three-dimensional shapes. They found the shapes in Orbeez Beads and then sorted them.

Several of our classrooms have eggs incubating and are waiting on baby chicks.
