December 2022 Counselor Connection
Liberty High School Counseling Monthly Newsletter
Meet Mrs. Vanderpoel, our new CCMR
Hi Redhawk Family!
I am so excited to join Liberty as the new CCMR. My husband and I have lived in Frisco for 23 years. We have one graduate of Frisco ISD, a junior, and an eighth grader. I am a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. My undergraduate degree is in education and my master's degree is in library. I love reading! I also enjoy traveling, long walks, and spending time with my family. This past summer we hit our goal of visiting all 50 states!
Adv/AP Class Drop Window
The drop form can be found on the Counselors Corner Website.
If the dropped course has no regular level to move to, then the student will move to early release, late arrival, PE, or other class as determined by your counselor, your credit situation, graduation requirements, and the limits of the master schedule. Changing your schedule now may impact your lunch, your teachers, and your current class schedule. The grade from the first semester will be added to the student’s transcript. Once the schedule change is made, the change is final.
AP Exam Payment for Spring Semester Courses and Late Registration coming in January
Students may request a full refund until November 1, 2022. Starting November 2, 2022 - February 10, 2023 students may request a refund minus a $50.00 unused exam fee for a previously ordered AP exam. There will be no refunds issued after this deadline.
Please visit the district AP Testing website or reach out to our CCMR facilitator, Mrs. Vanderpoel (VanderpoelJ@friscoisd.org), if you have any questions or concerns.
