Willow Park welcomes Lucchese
Mayor's Message
March is here, which means the beginning of spring is just around the corner. As we are all taking the time to “spring clean” our homes and offices, I invite you to join us for a city spring cleaning day Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 9 a.m.
Volunteers will gather at the City Hall parking lot where they will be given supplies and assigned areas to gather trash and debris along city streets until noon, then return to City Hall to drop off their bags. We hope to see lots of smiling faces that morning to help keep Willow Park beautiful.
Primary elections are complete and I’d like to congratulate all the winners who will be serving our community. We look forward to working with you. For all those who voted, I congratulate you too. The world is run by those who show up, and by making your voice heard in the election, you are getting involved and making a difference.
The world has more than its share of trouble and grief right now, and my prayers are with the people of Ukraine as they face their struggles. It is a good reminder of just how blessed we are here in Texas and our community. I ask that all of you remember those in need in their prayers during this difficult time.
March reminders:
- Check the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when you move your clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time;
- Make sure your sprinkler heads and irrigation system parts are in good repair before you start running your system again;
- Be weather aware! Sign up to get severe weather alerts straight to your phone at AlertSense;
- If you go out of town for Spring Break, be smart: make sure your newspaper and mail deliveries don’t pile up, don’t announce your absence on social media, make sure your property is secure before you leave, and submit a vacation watch form with Willow Park Police Department to help you return to a secure and safe home;
- Enjoy the warmer weather and the sunshine!
